Protestant Reformation

The Protestant Reformation consisted of a religious renewal movement of the Church, begun in the 19th century. XVI by Martin Luther, a German monk belonging to the Order of Friars Augustine, which led to the split of the Western Christian Church which was now divided into the Roman Catholic Church, on the one hand, and several Reformed or Protestant churches (Lutheran Church, Calvinist Church and Anglican Church), on the other.
